The release date is October 22, 2009 and with the pending release anticipation grows. What will the newest Windows OS give us that we didn’t have previously? Should we reinstall completely, or perform the upgrades?
We’ve installed beta, we’ve installed RTM (release to manufacturer) and over all we haven’t been that impressed with changes. It does run faster, it boots faster, it’s somewhat prettier. But let’s face it, our small shop can’t go the distance that others can when it comes to testing. Here’s an article from engadget with more information:

In short, it does run better IF you perform a clean install. You MUST perform a clean install unless you a re running some form of Vista, and even some of those will require a clean install.
You will find new features that make life easier on you while using your PC. But be forewarned, these features typically require a more robust machine that the four-five year old clunker some people are sporting.
